THE LAMB “Hell trembles and Earth Quakes”

“Jesus, when he had cried with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost (died).

And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom (torn in half), and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent (split);

And the graves were opened; and many of the bodies of the saints that slept (had died) AROSE.

And came OUT of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Now when the centurion and they that were with him, watching (guarding) Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things which were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. 

And many women were there beholding afar off (watching from a distance), which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children.

When the even was come (it was evening), there was a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:

He went to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean line cloth. And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against (opposite) the sepulchre.

Now the next day, that followed the day of preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 

Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure (secure) until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead; so the last error shall be worse than the first.

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch (guard): go your way, make it as sure (secure) as you can.

So they went, and made the sepulchre sure (secure), sealing the stone, and setting a watch (guard). 

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre (tomb).

And behold, there was a great earthquake; for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment (clothing) was white as snow:

And FOR FEAR OF HIM. THE KEEPERS (guards) DID SHAKE,AND BECAME AS DEAD MEN (fainted).

And the angel answered and said UNTO the women; FEAR NOT YE; for I know that ye seek Jesus. which was crucified, HE IS NOT HERE: FOR HE IS RISEN, as he said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him, lo, I have told you.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples his word.

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail (Rejoice).

And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there they shall see me. 

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch (guards)  came into the city, and shewed (told) unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel (talked about it), they gave large (much) money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.

And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure (protect) you. (it would have been death to them if they had really slept).

So they took the money and did as they were taught; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

And when they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”  Matthew 27:50-66 and Matthew 28:1-20

Wow, can you imagine how awesome it would have been to see that angel come down, roll away that stone, as the guards literally stood there shaking in their boots,  the angel then actually sitting on top of the stone, almost as if to say to the guards, ” Try moving it now, boys” and at this sight they were so horrified that they actually fainted.

And then the angel in display of the gentleness of the one he serves, tells the ladies to Fear not! Please also forgive my capitalization, it is not intended as shouting, it is to highlight, it’s hard to preach in silence.

You may be wondering about other common verses, such as the doubting by Thomas, but I chose to go with the account from Matthew as it had been used in the previous post, but I encourage you to read the accounts of Mark, Luke, and John also as each tells a little more of the story in his own words.

Lord will, we will highlight those accounts also in the next post on the way to Pentecost.

But back to this one, it is so wonderful, the fulfillment of this prophecy, Hosea 13:14:”I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death; O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction; repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.”

Written this way in 1 Corinthians 15:55-57: “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”

As we read in the last post  those of the day clung to the law but had no mercy, love, and kindness toward any, but Jesus came to teach us the truth of who he is, delivering us, teaching us that faith in him is the way to salvation.

And the picture of the ultimate resurrections, as the saints of old were resurrected on that day as Jesus rose in His power and might and the earth quaking in prelude to the ultimate quake when he returns to earth and Mount Olive will split in two and those of earth who are still rebellious, cruel, and unyielding in accepting salvation will beg those rocks to fall on them and hide them from his face but there will be no hiding from the one who created it all.

Jesus fulfilled every promise God had made that he would again reconcile us back unto him and he did it all with his blood, his love, and his desire to save us.

Jesus is kind, he is merciful and he does not want any one lost or left to the devices of enemy, and satan and his demons  cower in his presence, one descriptive verse written this way, James 2:19: “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well; THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE AND TREMBLE.”

Today, REJOICE, REJOICE!

Revelation 1:18: “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead, and he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last; I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys to hell and death.”

RESURRECTION PEACE/ Part 2

2 Thessalonians 4:16: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first…”

The fundamental of the Gospel of Peace.
Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, completely sinless, crucified and rose from the dead three days later to reign forever in all of heaven and earth.
This is our hope and confidence, our Savior lives and reigns forever and of His kingdom shall be no end.

His name alone being the only name by which anyone can be saved and He is the only way to the father, any who try to come any other way, other than through the precious blood of the Lamb is nothing more than a thief and robber.

Maybe it does weird out those who don’t understand it, just a little, but again how can you voice an opinion against something you have never experienced nor understand?

Without this promise we would surely be hopeless and what would the hope of our salvation be?
But we that are his know that this is real just as He is real.
This does not mean, as some doctrines teach, that it is instant, kill us and we will pop right back up kind of thing. 

This will take place in the great resurrection when time shall be no more.
But it is our hope and confidence, I want to give you an extreme example:

Job 19:25,26:  “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter-day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.” 
                        
What is this power? Dead, been dead, bodies destroyed by natural processes but yet those bodies will be made new?
The same power that created them and can recreate them regardless of damage.

Once we wrap our heads around letting go of the fear of losing these lives then the remainder and “the rest” will be peaceful!

The prophet Elisha who had been given double the anointing of God that Elijah held and remember Elijah had prayed for fire from heaven and for resurrection of another, rain and for the Jordan to let him cross, not to mention being divinely fed by a raven and an angel of God.

So the miracles he could ask for, the faith to move anything and ask for the impossible, Elisha carried double that in his body and the Bible tells the strength in that anointing and the fact that it is eternal:

 2nd Kings 13: 20,21: “And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast (tossed) the man into the sepulcher of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, HE REVIVED, AND STOOD UPON HIS FEET.”

My favorite example of this has not yet happened, oh, but it will!
As people get more and more evil and the true word of God becomes harder and harder to come by He will actually send back two that have been here before.
I personally believe this will be Moses and Elijah because of the description of their gifts.

Revelation 11:3,5-11:  “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and three score days, (around three and one half years) clothed in sackcloth.
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth  out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies: and if any man hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
These have power to shut heaven, that it not rain in the days of their prophesy: And have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with ALL PLAGUES, as often as they will.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them and KILL THEM.
And their DEAD bodies shall lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations (all people) shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer (permit) their dead bodies to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall sends gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.
And after three days and an half, The Spirit of life, from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.” 
           
Once upon a time, this was hard for people to understand, how could the whole world see this, but we know now don’t we?

All of our technology that had not even been imagined when this was written, but now we can instantly view anything, anywhere, the world over.

Most of us today couldn’t even stand even near these two with the anointing and the level of sheer holiness they will carry.
And as the world will continue to become more blind and hate all things of God when they come in sackcloth, urging repentance, pronouncing judgments the world will be so happy to see them dead because they will no longer hear the voice of truth, that they will in fact have a world-wide celebration.
But as we know, once they are resurrected and taken, the real party is just getting started!

Shall not perish…

“Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity (lawlessness) shall abound the love of many shall wax (grow) cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:9-13

That is a passage that I myself have used countless times since beginning my writing ministry in 2013 but there is such a sense of urgency stirring now unlike anything ever before. You don’t need me to point it out but the hate and self centered offended attitude that has taken over the world most recently in America a hate group making the mistake of thinking they were going to take down a cross at a church when met with the pastor and the congregation letting them know they didn’t think so and the cross stands for now.

It has been building it has been since even before the serpent tricked Eve in the garden, the devil has had his sites set on all that God loves and most of all that means his children, humans, all that has been created of God the enemy wishes to destroy and he has decided so many into thinking that they are right, they are moral again the most striking proof of that is when we have political candidate accusing everyone else of being “dark” while they they themselves support the murder of unborn children, and so many so  blinded by their hate that they really believe that they themselves can do no wrong which is sickening.

Anyone having such an arrogant, self willed view of their own importance above anyone else to me is just sickening.

And I really want to ask has anyone not noticed the theme of this all?

Even in America where the politicians are bragging that they are “fighting for the soul of America”?

Remember we are taught to compare natural to natural, spiritual to spiritual, how much truer could a statement be?

But it is not a good statement, the serpent convinced Eve that eating the fruit would change everything  and it did, but not to the end she had believed,it was for what he hoped would be the destruction of humankind.

And it is a battle now and prophets have been sending out gentle warnings for a very long time now as we see persecutions rise the world over and it is now in our own backyard and we fail to believe and be so hard headed that we really think “Oh that can never happen to us:” we are already half there. 

I did bringing it forth in that same gentle reminder vane, and as I have watched news of persecutions and arrests and desecration of places holy to our brothers and sisters the world over I wanted to send forth just such a reminder, for all whom maybe have never heard this word. Have hope, your life your reward is not in this world. True life begins when we are gathered with Christ and His Kingdom will have no end, but it is so important to hold onto his promises until that day.

So to reiterate the things that were to take place, have been taking place and now are escalating at an astonishing pace, just as those contractions during birth, which is why Jesus chose this comparison, once “labor” sets in, it increases in pain and frequency of those contractions and once it has started that process must be endured until that baby is born.

You need only watch the news or read a paper, Earthquakes allover the place, I had been on the phone with a person and suddenly heard all this loud banging in the background and the person soon realized that an earthquake had just happened as we spoke, it was chilling, and they noted that in their area they never have earthquakes and a few weeks later, yet another informed me that they had been awakened by an earthquake at 3:00 am, a few days later I would also experience this, and I live in an area that never has earthquakes and on a Sunday morning a few weeks back I was sitting drinking coffee and felt everything under me shake, and then felt it again if someone hit the earth itself with a bulldozer for lack of better words and it was confirmed we had indeed had an earthquake.

Earthquakes, tornadoes, raging forest fires, heat waves,  temperatures recording at highest in known history.Crops being destroyed by floods and locust swarms. A new double header threat approaching as two tropical storms threaten to unite very shortly.

Covid having created a world whose faces are now hidden behind masks, fear of disease, fear of death,, fear of the unknown helping to fulfill the prophecy soon coming, Men’s hearts failing them for fear.

Covid along with all the natural disasters now bringing starvation and isolation, while millions riot, scream, and hate, wanting to destroy all that is good, kind, or holy, persecuting the children of God the world over, nothing new, the hatred of the Jews, God’s chosen and the country Israel as powers now form alliances against her, the country that God himself has chosen for his future dwelling site of New Jerusalem.

As Jesus told us, and I have used the many times so if you are  a regular reader, please do not take it as repetitive, not everyone may have heard this and if you have, get your Bible and you tell others, help those who will hear, let them know what time it is that we live in, because God has sent forth watchmen and I believe in the last days it would be many, many watchmen, to share the Gospel with anyone who will hear and share the HOPE that these things that are coming to pass are not forever and that if they trust Christ, these things will only lead to the beginning, not the end because Jesus told us that when we see these things come to pass, our redemption draweth nigh, meaning his return.

If you are faced with that perception and hatred today, please keep these words in your your heart, learn them inside and out because they are the promises of God himself to you as he gave comfort concerning these terrible times.

Matthew 21:14-19: “Settle it therefore in your hearts, NOT to mediate on what ye shall answer; For I WILL give you a mouth and wisdom, which ALL of your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you they will cause to be put to death. And ye shall be HATED of all men for MY NAME’S SAKE. BUT THERE SHALL NOT AN HAIR ON YOUR HEAD PERISH.

In your patience possess ye your souls.” 

He left us these words as assurance to not think of how we will answer, what will we say when faced with persecution, as he said hated by all nations, hated by all who do not know him, and that we are to not think about any of it and rest assured that he will give us words from him that can not be disputed, but he is also saying in this that there will be those who die, just as those who have already, for the word of God, but in this he gives the most amazing promise, that even death can not kill your soul and that even having died to this earth, not one hair on your head will perish, change, or be lost because that is the foundation of the Gospel, Jesus RESURRECTED from the dead, everything they did to him in killing him changed NOTHING. He resurrected, he visited his friends, he ate, he comforted, he dried Mary’s tears and the Bible even says that books could not even be written to hold the account of the things he did AFTER the resurrection before he ascended back to heaven, (John 21:25) and that is what he wants his children to rest in and be assured of, if you are in Christ, the bodies only die once, that’s it, this is why Jesus said that NOT A HAIR ON YOUR HEAD WILL PERISH.

“Listen” to what he tell us in Revelation 2:10,11: ” Fear NONE of those things which thou shalt suffer; behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give the a crown of life. HE THAT HATH AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES; HE THAT OVERCOMETH SHALL NOT BE HURT IN THE SECOND DEATH.”

“Among the dead”

“Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre (tomb), bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout (very confused about this), behold, two men stood by them in shining garments;

And the were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen:  remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee? 

Saying,  The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.  And they remembered his words.” Luke 24:1-8

Can you imagine?

All they had witnessed, all the horror they had just experienced, imagine one you so dearly love, that you have followed and in His case worshiped, watching Him day after day as He healed those who were sick, freed minds and souls from the demonic forces of satan, even witnessing Him command death itself to release those that He had chosen to live to the glory of His Father.

Sitting at His feet as He taught seemingly new and even socially strange thoughts of mercy and compassion. Thoughts so foreign in stark comparison to the laws of harsh retaliation and punishment that had been for so long the law of the day.

He taught the pure and yet simple truths of life and of the love that God has for us and the love that he desires us to have one for another. And giving us all these things with the commandments He had written and sent by Moses, we still, just did not get it.

So He came and lived it for us, teaching us, showing us, and dying for us because no human could ever live up to that level of “perfection”. Only the Son of God, the Holy One, The perfect spotless Lamb, who for us all, and for the love of us all came to this earth and taught us these things, things we could never know in ourselves and love so great and unconditional that we can’t even attain to His level.

And can you imagine, being someone like the man who had been possessed by Legion, can you imagine your mind so disturbed and your soul so taken over that a literal graveyard becomes your home and the demons desiring to destroy the image of God in which He created you, prompts you to constantly cut your flesh with sharp stones and being so fierce, that even those who would want to try to minister help is prevented because the demons are so strong that even the strongest chains cannot hold you and are broken effortlessly.

And can you imagine, the moment when Jesus came and sent those demons out and as the Bible said of this man, you are left, “sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind.” 

Can you imagine being the blind man whose eyes Jesus anointed with clay He himself had formed and instead of others rejoicing with him that his sight had been restored, he and his parents were met with accusations, inquisitions, and finally expulsion from the temple. That is how the devil works and often what should be cause for rejoicing is instead used to wage war.

But Jesus in His mercy and grace did not leave this man to even be subjected to second guessing the words of the enemies and came to him yet again, John 9:35-36: “Jesus heard that they had cast him out (threw him out of the supposed house of God); and when he found him ,he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?  He answered and said, Who is he Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.  And he said, Lord, I believe, and he worshipped him.”

Jesus, as always beautiful and kind beyond comparison, always seeking those that are His and never leaving us when we need him, finding us in those places that the enemy has driven us, comforting us and securing us in the knowledge that were are His and that we are those who will never be plucked form His hands.

Imagine being the one who sins had washed away as her tears washed His feet all the while The voice of Simon screaming through her mind trying to keep her away from the one place she so desperately needed to be.

And imagine the relief of not being reprimanded and ran away but instead being accepted and even defended by the Lord Himself.

Then imagine the sorrow and disbelief when that Protector was beaten, tortured, and died nailed to a cross made from a tree. For all seen purpose and intent now left completely alone, the one whose gentleness and love brought peace and purpose to a delicate state of mind and that purpose for all it seemed had now been lost.

Imagine His mother Mary, who was in effect a jewel in the crown of a King imagine Her sorrow.

For all of these and all the disciples, imagine all the hundreds and I would dare say thousands of thousands He had touched, healed, and blessed.

Imagine how they could not imagine that this one, who had created heaven and earth, could be truly gone.

All the preparation in the world, just like those prepared spices, even our spiritual preparations, could ever prepare for that loss.

Ever feel like that in your life? I know I sure have.

We all at one time or another go through those “blind spots” when it does seem that all we have striven for, worked for, suddenly means nothing.

And seeds we have planted seem to have sprung up only for a second as a tender new plant and then just as quickly droop and wither away and no matter what we do or how hard we try the little plant can not be revived. 

We too, sometimes get so bombarded by the overwhelming feelings of loss and discouragement that we “prepare” those spices, we prepare to accept the “death”, which can translate to defeat, of something that may in fact be quite alive. 

Sometimes we just need to be reminded of what Jesus has taught us and need to remember something else that  He said,  John 12:24: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” 

Of course He was referring to His own death, and nothing would ever be the same for those who shared His earthly life with Him and in truth, the life that they had known had died with Him, and for the disciples there would be no ever going back to those days of walking dusty roads, singing hymns, and watching the Master work and now they would have to develop that faith He had given them and BELIEVE through His name and His power to do those greater works that He promised they would do.

And that is our thought for this Resurrection season, Jesus was not there and He would never be in that tomb again!

He had risen!

And in our own lives we have to sometimes allow thoughts, hopes, and dreams to “die”, no longer continue to seek those places that no longer exist.

But instead look for new growth, new leaves springing up in places we may have never noticed before because we will never truly see the living as long as our “eyes’ are focused on what is dead.

Blessings to you and your this Resurrection season! And above all, Blessings, and  honor, and praise, and glory to the Lord Jesus! Thank Him for loving us and coming into this world, dying for us and most of all RAISING FROM THE DEAD for us.

Shall not perish…

“Then they shall you up to be afflicted and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity (lawlessness) shall abound the love of many shall wax (grow) cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:9-13

That is a passage that I myself have used countless times since beginning my writing ministry in 2013 but there is such a sense of urgency stirring now unlike anything ever before. You don’t need me to point it out but the hate and self centered offended attitude that has taken over the world most recently in America a hate group making the mistake of thinking they were going to take down a cross at a church when met with the pastor and the congregation letting them know they didn’t think so and the cross stands for now.

It has been building it has been since even before the serpent tricked Eve in the garden, the devil has had his sites set on all that God loves and most of all that means his children, humans, all that has been created of God the enemy wishes to destroy and he has decided so many into thinking that they are right, they are moral again the most striking proof of that is when we have political candidate accusing everyone else of being “dark” while they they themselves support the murder of unborn children, and so many so  blinded by their hate that they really believe that they themselves can do no wrong which is sickening.

Anyone having such an arrogant, self willed view of their own importance above anyone else to me is just sickening.

And I really want to ask has anyone not noticed the theme of this all?

Even in America where the politicians are bragging that they are “fighting for the soul of America”?

Remember we are taught to compare natural to natural, spiritual to spiritual, how much truer could a statement be?

But it is not a good statement, the serpent convinced Eve that eating the fruit would change everything  and it did, but not to the end she had believed,it was for what he hoped would be the destruction of humankind.

And it is a battle now and prophets have been sending out gentle warnings for a very long time now as we see persecutions rise the world over and it is now in our own backyard and we fail to believe and be so hard headed that we really think “Oh that can never happen to us:” we are already half there. 

I did bringing it forth in that same gentle reminder vane, and as I have watched news of persecutions and arrests and desecration of places holy to our brothers and sisters the world over I wanted to send forth just such a reminder, for all whom maybe have never heard this word. Have hope, your life your reward is not in this world. True life begins when we are gathered with Christ and His Kingdom will have no end, but it is so important to hold onto his promises until that day.

So to reiterate the things that were to take place, have been taking place and now are escalating at an astonishing pace, just as those contractions during birth, which is why Jesus chose this comparison, once “labor” sets in, it increases in pain and frequency of those contractions and once it has started that process must be endured until that baby is born.

You need only watch the news or read a paper, Earthquakes allover the place, I had been on the phone with a person and suddenly heard all this loud banging in the background and the person soon realized that an earthquake had just happened as we spoke, it was chilling, and they noted that in their area they never have earthquakes and a few weeks later, yet another informed me that they had been awakened by an earthquake at 3:00 am, a few days later I would also experience this, and I live in an area that never has earthquakes and on a Sunday morning a few weeks back I was sitting drinking coffee and felt everything under me shake, and then felt it again if someone hit the earth itself with a bulldozer for lack of better words and it was confirmed we had indeed had an earthquake.

Earthquakes, tornadoes, raging forest fires, heat waves,  temperatures recording at highest in known history.Crops being destroyed by floods and locust swarms. A new double header threat approaching as two tropical storms threaten to unite very shortly.

Covid having created a world whose faces are now hidden behind masks, fear of disease, fear of death,, fear of the unknown helping to fulfill the prophecy soon coming, Men’s hearts failing them for fear.

Covid along with all the natural disasters now bringing starvation and isolation, while millions riot, scream, and hate, wanting to destroy all that is good, kind, or holy, persecuting the children of God the world over, nothing new, the hatred of the Jews, God’s chosen and the country Israel as powers now form alliances against her, the country that God himself has chosen for his future dwelling site of New Jerusalem.

As Jesus told us, and I have used the many times so if you are  a regular reader, please do not take it as repetitive, not everyone may have heard this and if you have, get your Bible and you tell others, help those who will hear, let them know what time it is that we live in, because God has sent forth watchmen and I believe in the last days it would be many, many watchmen, to share the Gospel with anyone who will hear and share the HOPE that these things that are coming to pass are not forever and that if they trust Christ, these things will only lead to the beginning, not the end because Jesus told us that when we see these things come to pass, our redemption draweth nigh, meaning his return.

If you are faced with that perception and hatred today, please keep these words in your your heart, learn them inside and out because they are the promises of God himself to you as he gave comfort concerning these terrible times.

Matthew 21:14-19: “Settle it therefore in your hearts, NOT to mediate on what ye shall answer; For I WILL give you a mouth and wisdom, which ALL of your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you they will cause to be put to death. And ye shall be HATED of all men for MY NAME’S SAKE. BUT THERE SHALL NOT AN HAIR ON YOUR HEAD PERISH.

In your patience possess ye your souls.” 

He left us these words as assurance to not think of how we will answer, what will we say when faced with persecution, as he said hated by all nations, hated by all who do not know him, and that we are to not think about any of it and rest assured that he will give us words from him that can not be disputed, but he is also saying in this that there will be those who die, just as those who have already, for the word of God, but in this he gives the most amazing promise, that even death can not kill your soul and that even having died to this earth, not one hair on your head will perish, change, or be lost because that is the foundation of the Gospel, Jesus RESURRECTED from the dead, everything they did to him in killing him changed NOTHING. He resurrected, he visited his friends, he ate, he comforted, he dried Mary’s tears and the Bible even says that books could not even be written to hold the account of the things he did AFTER the resurrection before he ascended back to heaven, (John 21:25) and that is what he wants his children to rest in and be assured of, if you are in Christ, the bodies only die once, that’s it, this is why Jesus said that NOT A HAIR ON YOUR HEAD WILL PERISH.

“Listen” to what he tell us in Revelation 2:10,11: ” Fear NONE of those things which thou shalt suffer; behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give the a crown of life. HE THAT HATH AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES; HE THAT OVERCOMETH SHALL NOT BE HURT IN THE SECOND DEATH.”

“Among the dead”

“Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre (tomb), bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout (very confused about this), behold, two men stood by them in shining garments;

And the were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen:  remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee? 

Saying,  The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.  And they remembered his words.” Luke 24:1-8

Can you imagine?

All they had witnessed, all the horror they had just experienced, imagine one you so dearly love, that you have followed and in His case worshiped, watching Him day after day as He healed those who were sick, freed minds and souls from the demonic forces of satan, even witnessing Him command death itself to release those that He had chosen to live to the glory of His Father.

Sitting at His feet as He taught seemingly new and even socially strange thoughts of mercy and compassion. Thoughts so foreign in stark comparison to the laws of harsh retaliation and punishment that had been for so long the law of the day.

Hell held hostage

“Wherefore he saith, WHEN HE ASCENDED UP ON HIGH, HE LEAD CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, AND GAVE GIFTS UNTO MEN. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far ABOVE the heavens, that he might fill (fulfill) ALL things).” Ephesians 4:8,9

We know the story, when all the forces of hell thought they had managed to kill the Prince of Peace and even with the Romans standing guard there was NOTHING, NOTHING in this universe, no power strong enough that the grave could harness to hold the King of Glory and we know on the third day, HE AROSE…

“I AM HE that liveth, and WAS DEAD; and behold, I AM ALIVE FOR EVERMORE. A-men; and HAVE THE KEYS TO HELL AND DEATH.” Revelation 1:18

Jesus’ suffering and death allowed us to be forgiven of our sins and allowed us to have a personal relationship with Him, whereas the priests of Israel had to offer sacrifice and only the high priest was allowed in the Holy of Holies and even he would DIE if his heart was not right in the sight of the Lord.

But at the moment death came to Jesus, the temple veil was torn into, prophetically tearing down the partition between Christ and His followers. This allowed for the resurrected Christ to spiritually indwell believers, making our bodies the very temples of God, which is why we are warned by scripture diligently against defiling these temples.

He ransomed us in life and IN DEATH from the enemy and from all the power and sorrow death and the grave held over us.

As even Satan tried to put dibs on the dead body of Moses, whom God Himself had buried, Jude verse 9: “Yet Michael the archangel when contending (disputing) with the devil he disputed (discussed) about the body of Moses, durst (dared) not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”

So obviously Satan thought he had some sort of right to the body and there ARE many occult practices tied into bones and such things, but that is not what this one is about, so I’m not getting into that. But it would be awesome to take lessons from Michael and just calmly, cooling respond to those who the devil comes through to argue and aggravate us, and just be able to rest in the power of God KNOWING that it IS God that rebukes them.

Jesus having those keys to hell, now controlling the very door to it can now prevent us from going there and these best descriptive of hell is a few of the following verses, but to be assured, IT IS REAL, and IT IS ETERNAL, and there ARE NO SECOND CHANCES, once death has come.

I want to use a couple of the Lords teachings on it, Jesus taught OFTEN and VERY VOCALLY about Hell, and yet today so many preachers are scared to use the word, for fear of running off their flock.. are you really doing them any favors with that? Jesus taught hell TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM GOING THERE, think maybe we should also?

Gonna pick this up during His teaching on sin and that if ANYTHING causes us to sin, GET RID OF IT, so we can escape hell:

Mark 9:43-48: “ And if thy hand offend thee (makes you sin), cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life (eternal resurrected life) maimed, than having two hands TO GO INTO HELL, INTO THE FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED;

Where THEIR WORM DIETH NOT, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED. 

And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt (lame) into life, than to have two feet TO BE CAST INTO HELL,INTO THE FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED:

Where THEIR WORM DIETH NOT, AND THE FIRE IS NOT IS NOT QUENCHED.

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD with one eye, THAN HAVING TWO EYES TO BE CAST INTO HELL FIRE.

Where THEIR WORM DIETH NOT, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.”

Please notice that three times, verbatim He used “Where THEIR WORM DIETH NOT AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.” Since it is verbatim scripture, it appears in all capital letters, the reference is to this passage: Isaiah 66:24:

“And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men (people) that have transgressed against me FOR their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”

And as He spoke again to the Jews, and of those who SHOULD have come to Him and refused, and those who tried to “enter in another way”, in proclaiming Christ with their mouths and yet rejecting His commands for their lives, and He told them of the sorrow of bitter tears and gritting of their teeth in agony for what will never be changed.:

Luke 13:24-29: ” STRIVE to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

When once the master of the house is RISEN UP, and hath shut the door, and ye begin to stand without (outside), and knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know not whence ye are (where you are from): THEN shall ye begin to say, we HAVE eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

But he shall say, I tell you, I KNOW NOT whence ye are (where you are from); depart from me, all ye workers of inquiry.

THERE SHALL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH, when ye shall SEE Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, IN the Kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and SHALL SI DOWN IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”  

Now for the eternal AWARENESS of the inescapable torment of hell:

Luke 16: 19-31: ” There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously (lived in luxury) every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

and it came to pass that the beggar DIED, and WAS CARRIED BY THE ANGELS into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also DIED, AND WAS BURIED;

And IN HELL HE LIFT UP HIS EYES, BEING IN TORMENTS, and SEETH ABRAHAM AFAR OFF, and LAZARUS IN HIS BOSOM. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, HAVE MERCY ON ME, and send Lazarus that HE MAY DIP THE TIP OF HIS FINGER IN WATER, AND COOL MY TONGUE; FOR I AM TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.  

But Abraham said, SON, REMEMBER THAT THOU IN THY LIFETIME RECEIVEDST THY GOOD THINGS, AND LIKEWISE LAZARUS EVIL THINGS: But NOW HE IS COMFORTED, AND THOU ART TORMENTED.

And beside all this, BETWEEN US AND YOU THERE IS A GREAT GULF FIXED: SO THAT THEY WHICH WOULD PASS FROM HENCE (here) TO YOU CANNOT, NEITHER CAN THEY PASS TO US, THAT WOULD COME FROM THENCE (there).

Then said he, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; THAT HE MAY TESTIFY UNTO THEM, LEST THEY ALSO COME INTO THIS PLACE OF TORMENT.

Abraham saith unto him, THEY HAVE MOSES AND THE PROPHETS, LET THEM HEAR THEM. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: BUT IF ONE WENT BACK FROM THE DEAD, THEY WILL REPENT,

And he said unto him, IF THEY HEAR NOT MOSES AND THE PROPHETS, NEITHER WILL THEY BE PERSUADED, THOUGH ONE ROSE FROM THE DEAD.” 

That is so eerie and sad, STILL today, there are those who refuse to believe, EVEN though Lazarus WAS resurrected by Jesus, and the Jews planned to kill as they plotted to kill Jesus, and though CHRIST ROSE THE DEAD, THERE ARE THOSE, WHO LIKE THE RICH MAN, WILL ONLY BELIEVE, WHEN THEY AWAKE TOO LATE.

As Jesus tells us, He rose victoriously with the keys to hell and now for the description of death. The shadow of death often referred to as “gross” darkness, completely void of light and Job described as this:

Job 10: 21,22 ” Before I GO whence (where)  I shall NOT RETURN, even TO the LAND OF DARKNESS and THE SHADOW OF DEATH;

A LAND OF DARKNESS, AS DARKNESS ITSELF; and of the SHADOW OF DEATH, WITHOUT ANY ORDER, and WHERE THE LIGHT IS AS DARKNESS.”

As Jesus came to earth as a human, the SON of God, but still human and by doing so, died as the sacrifice for ours sins and once He entered into death, he removed the sting, the pain out of it for us, we as believer are CARRIED, just as Lazarus was by the angels, but we are carried INTO THE PRESENCE of God.

And as He overthrew hell, dying as a human does, but being the Son of God, He then could take control and ALL the power it held over humans, because ONLY GOD HAS THE POWER TO DEFEAT the devil, and therefore sparing ALL that accept Him form that terrible place of torment the rich man found himself in.

I hope this helps anyone who has questions, and again please don’t buy the politically correct demonic lies of this world… ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN AND ONLY ONE WAY TO ESCAPE THE TORMENTS OF HELL AND THAT IS THROUGH THE ACCEPTANCE OF JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR AND THE WASHING OF YOUR SOUL IN HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD.

Please join me next time, when, Lord will, we will look at the second coming of Christ to earth and the battle of Armageddon, the rapture of the saints, and finish up with the earthly reign of Christ and the final destruction of hell and death in the lake of fire. 1 Corinthians 15: 42-57: ” So also is the resurrection of the dead. It IS sown in corruption (perishable state): it IS raised in incorruption (imperishable):

It IS sown in dishonour; it IS raised in glory; it IS sown in weakness; it IS RAISED IN POWER:

It IS sown a natural body; it IS RAISED A SPIRITUAL BODY.

There IS a natural body, and there IS a spiritual body.

As it is written, THE FIRST MAN ADAM WAS MADE  A LIVING SOUL; THE LAST MAN ADAM WAS MADE A QUICKENING SPIRIT.

Howbeit, that was NOT first which is spiritual, BUT that which s natural: AND AFTERWARD THAT WHICH IS SPIRITUAL.

Now This I say, brethren, FLESH AND BLOOD CANNOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD; NEITHER DID CORRUPTION INHERIT INCORRUPTION.

Behold, I shew (show) you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die) but WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED.

In a moment, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, AT THE LAST TRUMP: FOR THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND AND THE DEAD SHALL BE RAISED INCORRUPTIBLE, AND WE SHALL BE CHANGED.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, AND THIS MORTAL MUST PUT ON IMMORTALITY. SO when THIS corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and THIS mortal shall have put on immortality,

THEN shall BE BROUGHT TO PASS THE SAYING THAT IS WRITTEN, DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY.

O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?

O GRAVE, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY?

The sting of death IS sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But THANKS BE TO GOD WHICH GIVETH US THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.”

RESURRECTION PEACE/ Part 2

2 Thessalonians 4:16: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first…”

The fundamental of the Gospel of Peace.
Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, completely sinless, crucified and rose from the dead three days later to reign forever in all of heaven and earth.
This is our hope and confidence, our Savior lives and reigns forever and of His kingdom shall be no end.

His name alone being the only name by which anyone can be saved and He is the only way to the father, any who try to come any other way, other than through the precious blood of the Lamb is nothing more than a thief and robber.

Maybe it does weird out those who don’t understand it, just a little, but again how can you voice an opinion against something you have never experienced nor understand?

Without this promise we would surely be hopeless and what would the hope of our salvation be?
But we that are his know that this is real just as He is real.
This does not mean, as some doctrines teach, that it is instant, kill us and we will pop right back up kind of thing. 

This will take place in the great resurrection when time shall be no more.
But it is our hope and confidence, I want to give you an extreme example:

Job 19:25,26:  “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter-day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.” 
                        
What is this power? Dead, been dead, bodies destroyed by natural processes but yet those bodies will be made new?
The same power that created them and can recreate them regardless of damage.

Once we wrap our heads around letting go of the fear of losing these lives then the remainder and “the rest” will be peaceful!

The prophet Elisha who had been given double the anointing of God that Elijah held and remember Elijah had prayed for fire from heaven and for resurrection of another, rain and for the Jordan to let him cross, not to mention being divinely fed by a raven and an angel of God.

So the miracles he could ask for, the faith to move anything and ask for the impossible, Elisha carried double that in his body and the Bible tells the strength in that anointing and the fact that it is eternal:

 2nd Kings 13: 20,21: “And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast (tossed) the man into the sepulcher of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, HE REVIVED, AND STOOD UPON HIS FEET.”

My favorite example of this has not yet happened, oh, but it will!
As people get more and more evil and the true word of God becomes harder and harder to come by He will actually send back two that have been here before.
I personally believe this will be Moses and Elijah because of the description of their gifts.

Revelation 11:3,5-11:  “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and three score days, (around three and one half years) clothed in sackcloth.
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth  out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies: and if any man hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
These have power to shut heaven, that it not rain in the days of their prophesy: And have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with ALL PLAGUES, as often as they will.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them and KILL THEM.
And their DEAD bodies shall lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations (all people) shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer (permit) their dead bodies to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall sends gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.
And after three days and an half, The Spirit of life, from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.” 
           
Once upon a time, this was hard for people to understand, how could the whole world see this, but we know now don’t we?

All of our technology that had not even been imagined when this was written, but now we can instantly view anything, anywhere, the world over.

Most of us today couldn’t even stand even near these two with the anointing and the level of sheer holiness they will carry.
And as the world will continue to become more blind and hate all things of God when they come in sackcloth, urging repentance, pronouncing judgments the world will be so happy to see them dead because they will no longer hear the voice of truth, that they will in fact have a world-wide celebration.
But as we know, once they are resurrected and taken, the real party is just getting started!
