We know world hunger is rampant but we are also in a period of spiritual hunger, as the Bible says the days are coming that there WILL be a famine of the Word of God.
The Shepherds have become concerned more with the quantity of sheep in their pasture rather than the quality of health of those sheep. They may be mighty in numbers but they are weak, sickly, infected and infested and as long as they take up space no one is going to bother caring for them.
The watchmen have fallen asleep at their posts so the weakened, anemic sheep often make a tasty meal for the wolves, who offer them a false sense of care and compassion and something resembling food, while it is all candy coated junk food, to the sheep is it better than starvation, so they leave the field God intended for them to be in and follow the wolves who are leading them to their banquet to be devoured by their leader Satan.
SO what do you think the Lord will have us do? Sheep are going to have to feed other sheep, and when they happen upon a green spot it is going to have to be shared.
We’ll pick it up at Matthew 14:15-18, a multitude had come to hear Jesus and to be healed by him, The Bible points out that he was “moved with compassion” for them, something I think people often forget about him, “And when it was evening, ( it is evening on earth, we are entering spiritual nightfall) his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place,( the barren place many are in today) and the time is now past (growing late); send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals (food). BUT Jesus said unto them, THEY NEED NOT DEPART, GIVE YE THEM TO EAT. And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves and two fishes. He said BRING THEM HITHER (HERE) UNTO ME.”
That is the place we are at now, so many of us are praying for all the sheep who are hurt, wounded and have fallen over cliffs, lying there on the verge of death, with no one trying to rescue them, I know people right now who are so talented and so anointed of God and have become so discouraged and wounded that they are not even in church.
The calling of God is forever and NO ONE can do the job we were created to do.
I can only imagine the rejoicing in hell when a minister falls, or one that God has given the gift of healing and miracles, word of prophecy or the song of praise to sing in the tongues of heavenly angels, songs which would bring down an anointing that would set the captives free. Vessels who hold one or more of the nine gifts of the spirit, who are now sitting on their living room couch.
The gifts are NOT being stirred, they are NOT being cultivated and I have even heard people have almost an anger against the thought that one could have something that the others do not. THEY ARE GIFTS. THEY ARE DESIGNED OF GOD TO BE DIFFERENT! Why would we all have a “community” gift or calling, we would be severely lacking as we are now.
We all feel sometimes that someone else would be better suited to do something, but if no one else WILL then we have to pray and ask God to help us pick up the slack.
I don’t just write this stuff, I’ve lived it. So I want to give you one of my stories from the field, I was a fairly new Christian and was in a situation that I HAD TO put myself between an intoxicated person and two more people, and this was a bad deal, and while I was trying to reason with the person, it just went from bad to worse and of course God got brought up and they started referring to themselves by name in the third person and some heavy-duty things about how Satan would win and everyone would be hell. Again I was a new Christian, I had two prayer warriors praying and I just keeping praying in heart to God that I needed someone with me that I couldn’t fight this and I wasn’t supposed to be alone, someone was not helping me like they were supposed to because I wasn’t strong enough to battle what had become obvious that I was really fighting.
I was on my porch, they were in my yard and as they became more angry they finally just reached out and grabbed me by my throat and just held it, not really putting pressure but holding me around my Adam’s apple, and I was still praying” Lord Jesus, God you gotta help me, I don’t know what I supposed to here” and I just started singing, I am not a singer, actually I am a person people would pay not to sing! But I just started singing “When the spirit of Lord moves in my heart I will sing like David…” it’s an old, old Pentecostal standard, and after a few minutes or what seemed like minutes they left! Of course they turned from time to time to spew another threat at me, all the while walking away and I just kept singing. I know that was God and God alone and even though I thought he should have sent a “strong, anointed warrior” to fight that battle while I hid in my house, that was not his plan and He will never send you to do anything without him! He is there and he will send whatever weapon you need.
And on a great praise note, that person in time was saved!
So now my friends, whatever you have please share, we all know someone who is going through something, you can find scripture references in most Bibles for help in all areas, and two fail proofs are Psalm 23 and the Lord’s prayer, Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4.
Such as someone struggling financially or spiritually, “Give us this day our daily bread” someone in bondage “Deliver us from evil” help in time of various troubles ” Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies” you get the drift. I promise you, God said his “word will not come back void” it will do what he sent to do.
Maybe you don’t want to seem pushy, get a card and write a fitting scripture inside for the person. Pray always for them, God will put in your heart want to do to uplift and encourage them to go on.
And you know sometimes the greatest gift we can give is of ourselves, a heart to feel and share their burden, a smile, and best of all just a hug to let them know they are not alone.
It really is like the man Jesus healed at the pool of Bethesda (John 5), healing was there he just didn’t have anyone to help him into the water, some major symbolism in that! God is there, his anointing is there, but no one wants to be bothered with helping the spiritual lame into that water!
So time has come, be bold and of good cheer, whatever YOU have little lamb, as Jesus told the Disciples, bring it to him, he will bless it, multiply and let YOU feed the ones you have access to, all the hurt, wounded and ones who don’t even now they are his (yet). He will allow you to pray safety over them and that they see and know the goodness of God. Think of it as sharing your lunch!
I know there are so many of you, full of love, compassion and mercy and I know you will help others into those waters so that they may be healed as you have been healed!
I do want to quickly point out that this is not an attack on Pastors as a generic whole. But there are a lot of bad apples, the Bible has quite a section on the judgments that WILL be leveled against them in due time.
So if you hear an uplifting song or hear a wonderful word, do your best to share that with someone who needs it.
Share your food with those that are hungry, and if you do that, I promise he will never allow you to suffer famine.

"They’re hungry, YOU feed them"
We know world hunger is rampant but we are also in a period of spiritual hunger, as the Bible says the days are coming that there WILL be a famine of the Word of God.

“HOLY, HOLIER, HOLINESS”
Holy: Leviticus 19:2 “Speak ye unto the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.”
Leviticus 20:7 ” Sanctify (consecrate) yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God.” Hebrews 12:14 “Follow peace with all men, and HOLINESS, WITHOUT WHICH NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD.”
HOLIER: Isaiah 65:5 …”which say, stand by thyself, come not near unto me; FOR I AM HOLIER THAN THOU. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.”
The condition some are stricken by, and through their self-righteous attitudes have made others dread the word HOLINESS and the type of worship it involves.
HOLIER is a religious superiority rivaling the Pharisees’ attitude toward Jesus. Obviously above ever having committed a sin or any wrongdoing, they sit perched atop the pedestals of self-proclaimed righteousness, as they stare down their noses at the sinner peasants, quite comfortable spewing out a barrage of judgments against those they look down upon. “He’s just an old drunk” “She’s a slut” “They will never amount to anything.”
And my personal all time favorite, and yes, I have heard this and I have heard it in a church, “Well, you know, not all of them are going to be saved.”
Really? That is odd because when one of THEIR family members fall into a snare then suddenly it becomes “Pray, pray, pray.”
And when a minister of God falls into temptation, they are ever ready to spread the juicy details to every ear that will hear, NEVER considering that we are warned in the Bible that they who do this will one day find that they ARE SNARED by the same net that caught their brother or sister.
I also remember reading that Paul said, in times past we were all some of these things!
The Lord said he had no pleasure in the death of the wicked, he doesn’t, he doesn’t want to see anyone lost to hell.
It “is not his will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
HOLINESS: The relationship of the heart, mind and soul of the believer to the heart mind and soul of God.
Perfection, not in human form but perfection of our heart and will perfectly submitted unto his. The setting apart of us as vessels exclusively for his indwelling and use.
So why should we want it and why do we need it?
Isaiah 58 details God’s ideas and thoughts on holiness, fasting, how we should show charity to others, keeping the Sabbath and the rewards thereof.
Of course, I can only highlight it but please read it for yourself, you will be glad you did!
Isaiah 58:6-10 “Is not THIS the fast that I HAVE CHOSEN? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? (The things that Jesus said ONLY GO by fasting and prayer) Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that is cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh” think this “such as we have, we give unto thee”)
We are to fast not only for our spiritual breakthrough but so that others may get their breakthrough also.
And when we see another with a need we are to do everything we can to take care of that need.
And anything we do for others, every act of charity we are to do secretly as possible, as the saying goes “Discretion is the finer part of valor” I may not have quoted that to a T, but you dig what I’m getting at. Often when people need help the most they are most unwilling to ask.
No one wants to feel embarrassed, so if you do something to help out someone, give them something or loan them something, don’t tell about it.
Keep it as much as possible between you and them. So now if you do all these things, here is His promise to you: Picking back up at verse eight, “Then shall thy LIGHT BREAK FORTH AS THE MORNING, and thine health spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness ( right standing with God ) shall go BEFORE THEE; and the glory of the Lord will be thy rereward (rear guard) Then shalt thou call and I WILL ANSWER; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am, IF thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity; ( the judging and belittling others becomes a yoke of bondage on US ) and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall THY LIGHT RISE IN OBSCURITY, AND THY DARKNESS SHALL BE AS NOON DAY:”
Could it get any better than that? He will go before you, he will have your back, he will answer you when you call and the darkest spot in you will be as bright as noon!
Now that is about as good as it can get! Finally, James 4:8(a) “Draw nigh to God, and HE WILL draw nigh to you…”
So as we press toward that mark, please let me suggest a couple of things, get in your secret prayer closet, God sees in secret but he will reward you openly, anoint yourself, you can use olive oil or any oil really, just pray and ask him to consecrate it holy for you.
If you choose to purchase it retail, be very cautious read the label, there is one out there that prides itself on being created from the original Mosaic formula given from God to Moses in the Old Testament, BUT it is absolutely FORBIDDEN of God to recreate that oil.
A good place to purchase online is abbaoil.com they have an excellent selection and reasonable prices ( And no, they are not paying me, nor do they know I am recommending them) And above all, take communion, most never realize the power in it, I hope to do a little something soon on the subject, but if you will notice when bread was broken and meals taken THAT was when Jesus revealed himself!
You do not need anything fancy as some would try to have you believe ( because they like selling their wares and making money from the Kingdom ) Read Luke 22:17-20 for more about it. Just remember to have a pure heart before him ( having repented ) and ask him to bless what you have and I do believe you will be amazed! Φλογιζω/ original post date: 06/13/2014.

YEAH, ABOUT THOSE FOXES… THEY HAVE FLEAS!
“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines; for our vines have tender grapes. My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.” Song of Solomon 2:15,16
Ah the little foxes, all the little things that stand in the way of us abiding in the one true vine, Jesus. We try to nurture that vine, care for it, feed it, water it and protect it at all costs. Make sure it gets plenty of light from the “Son” and do all we can to ensure it’s growth, we stake it and trellis it up in faith that it will stand against any bad weather and beating storms that may try to tear it down.
But truly, the most formidable enemy against our vine are those dastardly little foxes. Think about them, unlike wolves who often come off ravenous and you know what they are all about, foxes are cute, little and furry and they sneak right on in, often they pretend to be your friend or even spiritual sibling but all they really want is for you to take your eyes off that vine for one second and they will tear it all to Hades.
It’s not because they want the fruit either it is just the thrill of the destruction, and the attention they gain by aggravating someone else unmercifully, because they have determined that you will pay attention to them one way or another, and they tug and they chew, and they trample the vines and destroy all the new fruit as fast as it starts to bud.
They only come along to wreck havoc on those vines and as we become exhausted trying to chase them away, we become not much better than they, because after awhile anger starts setting in because of their tenacity and their refusal to just give up and our flesh wants to resort to tactics that only they can understand.
The other unpleasant aspect to dealing with foxes is they never come alone, they themselves are prey to parasites all their own, spiritual fleas that if we do not err on the side of caution, we will become infested with the “fleas” that jump from them straight onto us. Spiritual fleas that come in the form of anger, resentment, pettiness and a desire for revenge on these little monsters. When God says we must live as peaceably as we as possible with everyone.
So what do we do? Hide in the place of being fed by the Shepherd among the lilies, the place of love and beauty, safety and peace, while He deals with catching those foxes for you because only He can, never give them place as hard as that is, just take your trouble to him and let him handle them and never get close enough to catch their fleas!

UNDER THE JUNIPER TREE
I have over the last few months heard two different Pastors completely unaware of each other’s sermons preach almost verbatim, on Elijah the Prophet or more to the point of what happened with Elijah?
I often became irritated hearing others smirk that Elijah the Prophet of God became “scared of a woman”, first off that is so sexist, people with that attitude should never have the audacity to stand behind a pulpit and that answers what has happened to the churches. But the two I referred to are NOTHING like that and are men of God.
A LOT happened with Elijah, the great mystery it would seem is how a man used of God, performing miracles, even the prayer granted of resurrection of the dead, and prayed fire down from Heaven to torch his enemies, laughed in the faces of false prophets, yet again praying down “proof” in the fire whose flames even licked up water, with his personal prayer of “If I be a man of God….”
It really had nothing to do with Jezebel, she was just the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back. He had fought and fought and he just simply became tired and discouraged and he was tired of running and having no one who could relate to or understand him and the clincher, he felt completely ineffective and that he had failed miserably to do the job God had called him to do.
1 Kings 19, I’ll hit and miss verse for sake of reading, but please read it for yourself and let the Lord lead you in your conclusion.
Verses four through eight, after he has just been informed that Jezebel is gunning for him, he’s left his servant behind, because as we know all wilderness journeys must be taken solo.
“But he himself went a day’s into the wilderness, and came and sat down UNDER A JUNIPER TREE AND HE REQUESTED FOR HIMSELF THAT HE MIGHT DIE;AND SAID, IT IS ENOUGH; NOW, O LORD, TAKE AWAY MY LIFE; FOR I AM NOT BETTER THAN MY FATHERS.
And he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an ANGEL touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, AND LAID HIM DOWN AGAIN.
The ANGEL of the Lord came again the SECOND time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; BECAUSE THE JOURNEY IS TOO GREAT FOR THEE. And he arose, and did eat and drink, AND WENT IN THE STRENGTH OF THAT MEAT (FOOD) FOR FORTY DAYS AND FORTY NIGHTS unto Horeb the mount of God.”
Ah, the wilderness, even if you leave them all behind, God will never leave you alone there, and he will supply every need you have for every step that you take and these are the places where heaven interacts with earth.
Ever notice how God used a raven, a woman who her and her son was on the brink of starvation and an angel from heaven to feed the Prophet, maybe because no one else would have listened.
He finally ends up in the ever mysterious cave, the word of God came unto him and asked, “What doest thou do here, Elijah?” and Elijah gives him his list of reasons, verse ten
“And he said, I have been very jealous (zealous) for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life to take it away.” Then the Lord told him to go stand on the mountain before him, the Lord passed by and a great wind split the mountains and shattered the rocks, and then came an earthquake, and then a fire, but the Lord was not in any of these. Then after the fire a still small voice, verse thirteen, the SECOND time, “And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And , behold, there came a voice unto him, and said , What doest thou here, Elijah?” Elijah answered exactly as he had the first time.
God never rebuked Elijah, he instructed him as to his next assignments including anointing Elisha to be his replacement.
God did let him know that he did have others who served faithfully and not all had become pagan, once he had done all God required, he did indeed go home:
2nd Kings 2:11: “And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted (separated) them both asunder: and Elijah went up by the whirlwind into heaven.”
Now Elijah went to get the rest he needed and Elisha got double the power of the anointing of God that Elijah had.
So powerful in fact that a dead body just touching his bones came back to life.
You may think well, Elijah never finished his job, well no, he didn’t BUT HE WILL when he is sent back with one of his own, Moses.
Revelation 11:3,4&6 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These two are the two olive trees and two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. THESE HAVE POWER (AUTHORITY) TO SHUT UP HEAVEN, THAT IT NOT RAIN IN THE DAYS OF THEIR PROPHECY: AND HAVE POWER (AUTHORITY) OVER THE WATERS TO TURN THEM TO BLOOD, AND TO SMITE THE EARTH WITH ALL PLAGUES, AS OFTEN AS THEY WILL.”
Just as they appeared with Jesus at his transfiguration.
They are far from finished! So morale of this story, never kick a person when they are down, until you walk a mile in their shoes, don’t even open your mouth.
“Drop down, ye heavens…..
